 Brush Truck bid specifications

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department of Kent, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for a new Brush Truck to meet or exceed the specification attached. Specifications are available at the Town of Kent Selectman’s Office and at the following link:

Brush Truck Specifications

All bid envelopes shall be sealed and plainly labeled:Town of Kent – KVFD BRUSH TRUCK and must be delivered to the following address: Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Boulevard, Kent, CT  06757. Attention Mr. Gary Hock, Chairman KVFD Brush Truck Committee.

KVFD will be accepting sealed bids for the brush truck described in these specifications until Friday June 7, 2013 at 4:00PM. Bids will be opened on June 7, 2013 at 7:30 PM in the meeting room at the Kent Volunteer Fire Department 28 Maple Street Kent, CT.

The brush truck committee of the Kent Volunteer Fire Department reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bid(s) for any reason whatsoever. the Kent Volunteer Fire Department further reserves the right to not be bound to accepting the lowest bid or rejecting the highest bid.

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department is made up of a diverse group of people with many different interests.

The organization’s purpose is the preservation and the protection of life, limb and property from fire and other hazards.

The Fire Department was first incorporated in 1911 and is a non-profit organization with 501c3 recognition from the IRS.

Today there are 75 emergency members, who respond to a variety of calls from actual structure fires to medical emergencies; 26 veterans; and 16 auxiliary members, who assist with non emergency tasks such as fundraising.

The Department provides fire, rescue and ambulance services to the Town of Kent.
