The Kent Volunteer Fire Department moved into its new facility in September 2008. The townspeople of Kent purchased this property in 2000 and paid for the construction of a new firehouse. The 15,000-square-foot building allows the Department to house all of our apparatus, equipment, training, meeting, and office space under one roof. This state-of-the facility allow us to continue to provide the best possible protection to the citizens and visitors of Kent.
Use of the firehouse:
The Kent Volunteer Fire Department does allow organizations to use the firehouse on request. Click here to get the form and policies for facility use.
The Department’s Swift Lane location is the former site of our “ambulance barn” for three decades. This converted barn from The Swift Farm was originally across the street. Members of the department took on the task of moving it to its current location. It is currently used for storage.
