Hands Only CPR sessions offered

CPR_POSTERThe Kent Volunteer Fire Department offered a new version of CPR instruction that only involves hands, no mouth-to-mouth required. The sessions were held during the Kent Sidewalk Festival Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7. 

“Two Steps To Save A Life” is a 15-20 min hands only CPR course by the American Heart Association to teach anyone and everyone how to offer help should they witness a cardiac arrest.

EMTs Mary Ann Van Valkenburg and Jean Speck were on hand to provide instruction on this life-saving technique.
